Water Springs, Desert Dwellers, Travel Time

Cheyenne came forward to answer God's call to missions.

Bactrian Camels?  What are they doing in Idaho Falls?

Imagine how long this trip to Montana took 200 years ago.
I wager longer than my 4.5 hours over 260 miles to Hamilton, MT.

Idaho Falls and Faithful Future

New Online Trend?

Unilever threatens to pull ads from Facebook and Google

http://www.bbc.com/news/business-43032241

Business Reporter, BBC News

Unilever has threatened to withdraw ads from platforms like Google and Facebook if they do not do enough to police extremist and illegal content.
Unilever said consumer trust in social media is now at a new low.
"We cannot have an environment where our consumers don't trust what they see online," said Unilever's chief marketing officer Keith Weed.
He said it was in the interest of digital media firms to act before "advertisers stop advertising".
Mr Weed said companies could not continue to support an online advertising industry where extremist material, fake news, child exploitation, political manipulation, racism and sexism were rife.
"It is acutely clear from the groundswell of consumer voices over recent months that people are becoming increasingly concerned about the impact of digital on wellbeing, on democracy - and on truth itself," Mr Weed said....
The BBC contacted Facebook and Google for comment and is waiting for a response.

Skiing at Harriman State Park

The folks at Idaho Falls Church brought me on their annual cross-country skiing outing.

Harriman state park is about 6,000 feet and only an hour or so drive away.  We had good weather and good time.

Idaho Views

Getting out into nature is one of the ways to unwind and burn calories picked up at church gatherings.
This is a hiking trail/road up Black Rock overlooking Pocatello.
This is one of Mike's favorite places to jump in the water.
But not in February.

Pocatello People Pictures

Here are some action shots of missions week in Idaho.

There's lots of action shots that center around food.

Great opportunities to be thankful.  Thanks to Al for taking and sending me these pictures.

Twin Falls Area Activities

Can you name these Idaho attractions?

Heritage Alliance Pastor Jim took me out to see this formation.

Nearly 50 feet in height I think the sign said.

Don't you agree this one footer is at least as glorious?

Thanks for the memories.  Look forward to making more on both sides of the pond.

Boise Views from Tour

A princess wants to carry good news some day too.

A very tall cross on "Table Rock" overlooks the city.

The state capitol building from outside,

is not as impressive as its interior marble pillars, dome and giant American flag.

Immigrant and Sports Ministry in Asia

Another family in our Alliance talks about their ministry in Papua in this short video:

Winter Hiking

The Kittitas Valley outside Ellensburg looks different this time of year.  It was nice to get some air and exercise on Manastash ridge.

That's Mt. Stuart in the distance on this clear cold day.

God's creation is beautiful and gives perspective.

Contrast the mansion on the right above the valley with the town in the distance.  Jesus promises us a mansion in the sky, in our Father's house.  "In my Father's house are many mansions...I to to prepare a place for you." - John 14:2

A Christmas Story

Kids play with toys after opening presents at grandmas house

Cleveland's Play-House Square Allen Theatre
We got tickets to A Christmas Story
for Christmas!
If you have seen the movie you'll understand these quotes
The best parts of the play were the parts that aren't in the movie.  Like Red Ryder's speech on what it means to be a cowboy, and American.  If you get the chance, go see it.
A few days before, on our way from the airport to Akron, we even saw the original house where the movie was filmed in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood.  There's a "major award" lamp in the window.

White Christmas in Ohio

The weather was pretty raining our first week in Ohio.  So our hopes for snow were not high.  Notice the warmth on compared to our other frequented places.

Then Christmas morning we woke up to white, if not deep, snow!
See Renee's new Ohio State Buckeye sweatshirt

Notice the family dog is excited too.

After opening presents Christmas morning with Uncle Aaron, Pop, Gram, and Aunt Kristin

Dinner for 21 at the Bisheimer table

Cookie making maids and maiden or two.

Playing board games the day after with blankets since its now 12 degrees outside.

Kittitas Valley Views

After Thanksgiving, we headed for the hills for a hike around the outskirts of Ellensburg.

The mild fall has been surprisingly moist, making green grass grow in late November.

The local hardware store hosted families for birdhouse making.

Look for these in and under trees near you ;~)
