Awaken to Kingdom Reality

This is the title of our missions theme for the year in the Alliance.  The subtitle is Always be Ready, Always be Investing, Always be Serving.  I just read a good article by our former National Church President that explains why.  You can read it here: Maranatha!

Okanogan Valley Alliance Church

The whole family enjoyed a great visit with a very supportive church over the weekend.  

We enjoyed fellowship over lots of meals.

And enjoyed exploring Omak Lake on Saturday.

We even discovered a rattle snake slithering under a bush.  It was moving slowly for the cool weather.

The lake is about 5 miles long.  It was peaceful to hear the waves on the shore.

Johanna Learns to Ski!

Her friend invited her along with a parent to chaperone.

Some time on the bunny hill...

And then up the chair lift and skied all the way down!

Thank God it snowed half the day, making for great learning conditions.

The sun was shining at the end of a great day!

Spring Bike Ride

Jeremy got out on the bike with brother Jake on a nice spring day.

And again with a new breed of apple called Jazz from the fruit stand there, our only fuel on a 40 mile ride.

Spring Break Ocean Visit

He and Clara pour water in the moat of their castle.

The whole family enjoys a seafood meal looking out at the ocean waves.

Great Fishing Day on Last Day of Winter

 Snow still on the mountains, but ice gone on the lake.

Josiah hooked into this big one!

This is not a test, this is a real live trout on the line.

And a mighty big one, for his first ever fish caught by himself!

It was a beautiful day, and fun to have rainbow trout for dinner.

Basketball Season Ending

Josiah finished first grade hoops with the Pirates.  They're holding the snack which is their favorite part.  But we do what we can to foster a love for the game.

We also stopped by the festivities of three-time state champion Kittitas Coyotes and they signed his ball

and their championship photo.  Pretty great storybook ending for a great team.

Sojourn Church had a jungle theme for their missions conference.

Maggie's 17th Birthday - Party Pictures

 Two Grandmas, two parents and two friends joined four siblings one cousin, and an aunt for a meal, presents and cake to celebrate Maggie's 17 years.

Big Snows this Month Prompt Pictures

Getting ready for our return and spring speaking...

Look for this one above on our new prayer cards.

The plows pile up snow in our cup-de-sac which is loads of fun.

But then they load it up and haul it away, with all it's slides and tunnels.

This is an outtake from one grumpy he couldn't wear his hat.

It snowed through all these poses, but the home fire still burns.

Clara Sings in Washington State Choir

Clara was invited to try out for state choir and was selected last fall.

They have been practicing since and the whole Saturday before their performance here.

Below is Clara with music teacher Mrs. Schneider and 5th grade friends from Ellensburg.

Also a music educator, her uncle Jake was on hand to congratulate Clara.

As were a few members of her family.

It was a nice trip and weekend in Portland, OR.
