Saturday of the kids' spring break we stopped by this 136 meter statue of Time Magazine's Man of the Millennium.
There's a museum underneath the statue which was begun to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the "Great Mongol State" in 2006. It was finished in 2008.
You can walk out on his horse's head with other tourists.
Can you see who's waving to you there?
Behind us are stairs that lead to the elevator (or more stairs) down his horse's front leg.
I like this picture with the yurts (ger) behind because of perspective.
I wonder which will still be here in another 800 years, the statue, or the tents?
