Big Snows this Month Prompt Pictures

Getting ready for our return and spring speaking...

Look for this one above on our new prayer cards.

The plows pile up snow in our cup-de-sac which is loads of fun.

But then they load it up and haul it away, with all it's slides and tunnels.

This is an outtake from one grumpy he couldn't wear his hat.

It snowed through all these poses, but the home fire still burns.

Clara Sings in Washington State Choir

Clara was invited to try out for state choir and was selected last fall.

They have been practicing since and the whole Saturday before their performance here.

Below is Clara with music teacher Mrs. Schneider and 5th grade friends from Ellensburg.

Also a music educator, her uncle Jake was on hand to congratulate Clara.

As were a few members of her family.

It was a nice trip and weekend in Portland, OR.

Winter Activities

With up to a foot of snow still hanging around, it's a good time to sled,

ice skate,

and play cribbage.

Small Groups of Nutley, NJ CMA

Notice the ladies in Mongolian wedding hats behind?

Dressing the part is always the biggest fun for the kids.

World Trade Center Visit

Here's the cross inside the 911 Memorial, worth a visit if you get the chance.

My host Frank and I in front of the Freedom Tower, finished in 2014.

Tour Visit to NY Sites

My hosts at Nutley CMA took me across to see NYC's 911 Museum and Alliance Schools.

Names of the fallen are inscribed above the reflecting pools in the holes where the towers stood.
Josh found the memorial of Todd Beamer (between us bottom row), who was attending an Alliance church when he led a team to attack the hijackers of the fourth airplane, which crashed in Shanksville PA instead of its believed target in Washington DC.

Above are the doors to the Alliance Theological Seminary, a short walk from the World Trade Center and about 20 floors up.  Below is the view of NY Harbor and Staten Island to the south from Nyack's new location in lower Manhattan.

"The Oculus" is like a train station that looks up at NY skyscrapers and connects two big malls.

Living Large with Spanish Eastern CMA Church

After dinner and speaking at one of their many small groups...

I keep telling them I've had enough to eat

But they keep telling me food is their love language!

El Salvadoran Papusa is like Mongolian Huushuur, meat pancake, except for it has cheese.

And this is Flan, a Spanish custard.

New Jersey Tour with Nutley Church

Pastor Marcelo took me to visit the Thomas Edison Museum in West Orange, NJ

National Park Rangers and volunteers told how the Edison sat in this room to make records in the world's first recording studio.
